A Board of Directors (BOD) was out of balance. They were not regularly achieving financial goals. Nor were they implementing mental health programs that were well attended. The CEO believed that the effort to identify and engage the right people from the existing board, or an expanded one, would be too time-consuming, and would still leave the organization without a clear pathway to address their challenges.
Trust Well Network (TWN) worked directly with the CEO and the organization’s board members to implement the Core Motivation Analysis Process(CMA) to obtain and utilize needed information to commence the improvement process.
To address the challenges, TWN looked at each board member’s strengths and weaknesses. A personality profile helps to identify a variety of skills and abilities that come naturally to people. Utilizing this knowledge about their personality profiles, TWN helped position people to be successful and happy within the organization.
The result was the successful achievement of three goals:
- Identifying the right mix of people for an effective and efficient BOD.
- Expanding the BOD from10 to 15 qualified members.
- Increase the BOD’s effectiveness by identifying key leaders who could implement fundraisers and achieve program sales to organizations.
- Provide input for content creation and outreach to increase the staff and volunteer opportunities for running the organizations’ programs.
Based on the results of the CMA analytics, the CEO was able to identify the needed training based on thinking and behavior styles. Additionally, Board Members were all provided an “elevator speech” about the organization, which created consistent messaging, more significant investments, and more programs successfully run.
